Hi,

Just dropping a line to say hi and to introduce myself.

I was really curious what happened to the whole +ORC / HCU scene - it seemed to drop off the face of the planet. I read somewhere in the FAQ the play-by-play which I guess leads to the purpose of this forum.

As my first newbie question could I ask what happened to the RCE cd (http://www.woodmann.com/RCE-CD/) and the htz viewer (http://www.idca.com/~thesandman/Files/viewer.zip).
I am unable to download either (and google doesn't seem to help)

Cheers,
lurkur

Hi Silkut,

Thanks for responding.
I did read that post - its what made me want to have a look at the cd in the first place. However all links from the CD page are down:

The requested URL /RCE-CD/+Sandman.zip was not found on this server.

Anyhoo, I can wait.....

If you re-read that Thread, you will discover that the files in that collection are, in fact, not actually the "zip" files. They are actually the working sites from those individuals and I have renamed that folder RCE-CD-SITES. For example, the +Sandman's site is now accessible at:

http://www.woodmann.com/RCE-CD-SITES/+Sandman/index2.html

I've just removed the "index" files I had recently uploaded and using:

http://www.woodmann.com/RCE-CD-SITES/

will give you a directory listing. If you open the individual files and review them, you will eventually discover the correct file to start the site.

I have found another copy of the RCE-CD folder which actually has the "zip" files which are referenced by the "index" file I just removed from the RCE-CD-SITES and I will start the uploading the folder with the zip files to a "new" RCE-CD folder in a few minutes. I have also found a four-part zip file collection which appears to be a zip of the whole CD in four larger zips, which I will include in that folder. Eventually, we should have a better index of the RCE-CD-SITES folder for your browsing pleasure.

Thanks for fixing that JMI.

When you said "re-read that thread" I thought I had missed those posts! But then saw the timestamps,

Many long evenings of reading/learning await.
