in win2000, i copy the icedump and ntid.exe to softice directory, and then run ntid,got the message:
reading dump info k
checking NTICE: error

what can i do then?

I'm really a newbie.
Is the following process correct:

copy the image file "icedump" ,which is in the directory of 4.05.334 ,to the sice's directory;
then execute the ntid.exe
then ren icedump to icedump.exe
then run icedump.exe


or i've download a wrong package?

You can't find the Manual?
Look in the Icedump directory:

w9x/doc/

or

wnt/doc/

Now you should find it, if you don't then search carefully must be somewhere in there
