Hi,

This will be the first in a series of silly questions I ponder during the day.

I would like your thoughts about these things.

I have made no effort to research any of them because they are stupid

Why are there directions on a toothpaste box ?

some of them might think its use for baking without directions

The instructions are there because the number of stupid consumers is equally matched by attorneys looking for some manufacturer to sue when someone gets injured using a product in some generally unreasonable manner. There is a legal theory called "foreseeable risk" about which a manufacturer is required to warn of potential harm, even though no "moderately bright" person would think to use the product in such a manner. So their lawyers advise them to put lots of print on the boxes and in the packages in the hopes it will reduct the number of times they might be sued.

Actually, it's a full employment policy for attorneys. They advise the companies what to warn against, and they sue on behalf of the people who mannage to injured themselves when they use a product in a manner which no reasonable person would have used it.

For example, toothpaste has a mild abrasive in it and should not be put in the eyes and rubbed. Yet some people manage to do that with sufficient frequency that they probably warn against doing so, so they can say, "we warned you not to do that!"

So if it's for external use only, what's that screw on syringe like thingy for?

Oh yeah, fashion models use it for reducing the bags under their eyes before hitting the catwalk too... lots of uses.

BWAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAA...........

Prep H does have a screw on ass applicator.
I know because I am old.
(dont even think about it you bastards)

As for the whole toothpaste attourney thing...........(notice the euro spelling).

That might be all and well with things that have multiple uses BUT,
It says TOOTH paste on the box and the tube.
Where else would you use it ?

If Prep H said "Ass medicine", I could understand that.
Then again, I cant really imagine another use for that stuff.

I mean, If I had a headache I wouldnt look in the medicine chest and think, "hey it relieves ass pain so it must relieve head pain".
The instructions indicate what it is used for.
If you cant follow the directions then you are shit out of luck.

Errrrrrrrrr.....................
As you can tell I have little tolerance for idiots .

So who else has an opinion about this?

Apply to hair, lather vigorously - rinse out - repeat.

Does anyone really repeat, if so the instructions should be two fold - 1. Apply to hair, lather vigorously - rinse out - repeat.
2. See 1.

Seems to me I wrote some code like that once.

Actually, if you've never used shampoo and never seen it used it can be tricky too. For example, would you guess that applying it to wet hair instead of dry improves performance quite a lot?

BWAHAAHAAAAA.........

Excellent pick-up.
I would have never thought of that.

Then again, I never thought of useing
it as a condiment either.

No, no, please...

I've lost the instructions manual of my electric shaver. I have a couple of questions and need some advice.

1. Can I use the trimming function of the shaver on rather sensitive areas of my body? What are the "foreseeable risks" associated with such a use?
2. Should I "debug" before dehairing first?
3. Is any change of "header" required for compatibility with the OS?
4. and, speaking of the OS, would this trimmimg operation impose any damage on my "operating system"?

Thanks.

P.S. I've read the FAQ, as promised.

Instructions on a hand grenade:
Pull the pin
Throw the other thing.

Howdy,

1) Yes you can. Expect some bleeding.
2) Debugging of the area would certainly not hurt.
3) No change of the header is needed.
4) Yes you can damage your OS.
Please do not consume alcohol or drugs before preforming the de-hairing.
DO NOT use any plug-ins so as to avoid electrical shock.

Well, Woodmann, the world is not so easy...
Look what you can do with tooth paste (along with the use of some toilet paper...)

Hi bilbo,

Me thinks you have too much free time .

It would seem to me that toothpaste would be too abrasive to work a scratch out of a dvd BUT, apparently it works.

If a shampoo user was to get stuck in an endless loop he would need a bucket of soap. That would be good for the soap seller. Now if everyone on the site was to get stuck in loops that would probably fix the recession.

Hmmmmmmmmmm..........

I wonder what would happen if someone with OCD did get stuck in an endless loop while in the shower?

They need to repeat things multiple times.
What if they ran out of shampoo?

How do you reboot someone with OCD?
Turn off the water to the shower?

I used to use it to change the frequency of crystals used in oscillators, so it does remove material, (even on quartz), I wouldn't use it except as a last resort, maybe Lemon Pledge would be more suitable.
