The proper word is "newbie" and it is not "our" job to "help you learn". This is a place where people come who are willing to "help themselves." You might expect some "guidance" along the way, but ONLY AFTER you show that YOU have actually made some effort to learn things for yourself.

This is NOT a place where someone is going to take you by the hand and "teach" you how to "raise your cracking knowledge." That is something YOU can do by reading some of the large collections of information materials you will find linked at the bottom of these Forums.

No degree necessary, and announcing yourself, pretty much tells us you want someone to guide you through the process, wellll, no one will, right now your job is to sit and watch - search the web for resources - post when you have learned a lot more and can show that you have a valid question(s) regarding something that you've spent weeks working on and searching for info that can help, and still need a nudge - not an answer just a pointer in a more productive area.

Good Luck, you'll succeed if you really want to,

Maybe you can group together and help DENiSON with his task: http://www.woodmann.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12945

Or even read the various tutorials and do it yourself? We could get a competition going :-)

The prize would be a "Congratulations!" from a senior ;-)

Hmmmmmm!

Seems to me that there was an attempt several years ago to start an offshoot forum specifically for Noobs - but it was ridiculed out of existence by many members here - for the record I was all for it - the idea was formed by a highly respected reverser who I won't name but if there would have been some support I'm sure it would have succeeded - in the mean time many capable people on other boards are doing a great job - ARTeam being the one that stands out in my mind.

I agree. However, the usual problem is that people are interested, but once they find out about the amount of work involved, they lose interest. It's not like it's difficult, but the time involved to start with is substantial for a newbie - specially if they have never used a programming language before, never mind assembler like x86.

if they lost interest so easily than they're actually don't have enough interest. i think i still a newbie in several field tho. and yes, i spent maybe 2 years or so, as a totally newbie. interests is important key.
