Hi All,
Currently working on an mfc application and not getting the call within the module assossiated with a particular Dialog Box. All breakpoints are landing in MFC42.dll.
I have heard somewhere on net MFC apps are hard to reverse..
Is there any plugin or sig files for IDA pro that can help me a bit or an plugin for ollydbg.
I m using IDA Pro Demo 5.5
and diablo's olly with demangle option checked..
Thanks..

It is one of my functions here to remind posters that we do have Rules and certain expectations from posters on these Forums to which all who come here are referred by the Big Red Letters at the top of the Forums.
One of the things most frequently repeated to those who seem not to have actually read the Rules, is that people are expected to do their own homework.
They are directed to SEARCH, both here and on the internet, before they post a question. One of the purposes of this Rule is to prevent people from being to lazy to do some of their own homework.
At the moment, you appear to fall into that category. You have not indicated that you have made any effort to find the answers you seek.
For example, I just tried two quick searches.
The first with: are MFC apps hard to reverse
The seond with: reversing MFC apps
Had you tried either of those you certainly would have found some of the information you are seeking, without someone taking you by the hand and leading you to the answer you should find yourself.
For example, using the second search terms, the first hit has this information showing, which looks like it might be helpful, and it's only one link and you should have found it on your own:
Reversing MFC Applications « 0day in {REA_TEAM}
I've seen many people (including me) reverse MFC applications in the same way as reversing pure Win32 API applications. Put breakpoints on certain APIs, ...
