First of all let me say hi as I am new here.

I hope you guys and girls can help me.

I have a install MSI and on execution it is checking a install path or service.

because it then gives me error "Sharepoint not installed"

It is install but the plugin.msi ia a 32bit and the server is a 64bit

so there are two program files locations

c:\Program Files
C:\Program Files(86)

I have extracted the msi and placed the files in the appropriate install path.

However I have also ran the MSI with a install monitor running and it clearly make regedit inserts.

Can i force the MSI to see the Sharepoint install path ?

what are my other options?

I know the plugin works as i have it working on a 32 bit system but the live system is 64 bit.

Can anone help me PlEaSe

thanks in advance

Atr

Hi
Try using Microsoft Orca. It's MSI database editor.

Hi

I have had a look at that but i still can not see what the problem is.

all install paths are the same

there is a "sharepoint path" in it as a registry value and even that is the save on a 32 bit and 64 bit

I even got installshield, adminstudio to have a look in the msi as well

Any other thoughts?

Try to run the msi installer into Sandoboxie program, then give a look into the sandbox folder & registry hive: you will see only the added/modified files & registry entries.
Note: Sandboxie registry entry is under HKEY_USERS...
