Howdy,

Look at this: http://www.woodmann.com/forum/showthread.php?11332-SoftICE-Installation.&highlight=softice

I dont know if it will help.
There were a lot of problems getting it to work
correctly in XP.

If you are really set on using Sice I would suggest a VM running win95.

Are you running an app to hide softice? Apps that hide softice functions will also hide it from the loader. If so, disable the hiding app then boot the loader.

Any time I had iceext running to hide softice, the loader reported that softice was not running, even though it was.

Do you have a particular reason for running SI automatically. It worked fine for me under XP SP2 and SP3, but I always started it manually once XP was running.

did you try to set it to "boot" or "manual"
manual maybe gives a error msg
place more recent files it comes with IceStealth in "other" folder

Good news. Maybe you could leave a note saying what you did, if you remember. Any little bit of information helps.

Now if you could just get it working on Windows 7. Then again, it would be nice to get other things working on Win 7. I hate it when I am logged on as admin and get a message telling me to contact the administrators.

I have to deal with that shit at work. It wouldn't be Windows without some type of foolish problem.
