Hi all,
I have been watching the scene closely for the past 2-3 years and i noticed that most tutorials assume that users have access to latest copyrighted tools. Now that you can find special free version of the advanced tools -- Ida3.85b -- and others that substitutes the need for the commercial ones, shouldnt there be a an alternative solution for those reverse engineers whom does not/won't use pirated tools?
I suggest a tutorial that explains the alternative way of doing things.
For example, becuase i cant use SoftICE at the moment, i had to improvise to do my debuggin, sometimes using M$-Visual Studio debugger or even W32Dasm. Dont miss understand me as i do not mean that the mentioned tools are not useful, they are. Its just that sometimes you can do your task easily in one tool and its a bit hard to do in another. And for new comers, It can really discourage them.
What do you think?
