The CrackMe contest is divided into the following categories:
KeygenMe, CrackMe (they gotta be hard to solve), and UnpackME.
It is strongly advised to develop your own packers and crypting algorithms: packing a crackme with a commercial packer (asprotect/armadillo) or crypting it with sha1 just makes no sense.
Crackmes can run on any O.S. so mainly Windows and Linux but also mobile platforms such as Android, WinMobile and iOs are very welcomed.

If the contest shows decent success further infos will be given out such as: how the crackmes will be rated and by whom (this decision is still pending) and what the prizes will be (most likely UIC t-shirts).
For any other question please refer to this post.

And now let's get coding!!
Good Luck everyone.

Hi,

First of all, thanks for sharing your contest with our community.
If I may add something, your forum require registration to access the aformentioned topic, which is, imho, not the best to gather people and spread the word...

Another question, what is UIC ? (pardon my ignorance).

Regards.

UIC stands for "Università Italiana Cracking", which means Italian University of Cracking. It's one of the most important italian reverse-engineering community

I don't think that do a registration is a lost of time, if you want to share your work with others.
However thxs to the disponibility!

I agree with Silkut, an advice inside the main of the site would be great... just to reach a large number of people!
