What are your thoughts on malware for Macs like MacDefender and the Mac OSX exploit kit that were recently released? Is this the beginning of malware being a serious problem for Macs, or is it no big deal?

..Or is it the beginning of a new market segment ?
I'd be more concerned about mobile applications...

Me too, probably only a matter of time before that becomes popular with attackers.

It's already popular amongst security researchers. A lot of PoC have been published lately (or developped for those not publicly known). As you said it's only a matter of time until a big mafia gang get aboard the mobile threat train.

Did anyone test it yet on Lion?
