Hello
I am trying to patch this exe in VB 6.0 and was able to find the dongle checks but when loading the file into Olly it goes into a call and I am unable to see anything else.
When running the file for about 5 sec pause and run a string search and I am able to find the calls. but not before the file is run.
I ran exeinfope and it says it has not been packed. also ran protection ID and it recognizes "super pro dongle" all tho this is a keylok II as I was able to id it by looking at the dongle.
I also loaded the Keylok II libraries from woodman but it does not seem to recognize anything.
I ran checksum from ar team and it says it adds up ok. not sure If I am using it correctly. Also ran VB decompiler, and it provides a more organized view but not able to find anything since I am not able to search.
It seems the string references have been encrypted, can someone point me in the right direction? what tools could I use to find out how it's been encrypted if that's the case?
I do have the original dongle and the original install file if that's useful. Id be happy if i could at least extend the trial past 30 days. even the registry keys i am unable to locate.
also there is a pop up screen saying software key is missing. tried stepping the app until the pop up but it just goes into a loop and never gets to the pop up.
software name is M.i.c.r.o.s.a.l.e its pos for bar/restaurant
