I got the 3-CD release from FLT. They don't remove the SafeDisc protection, only 3 BIN/CUE images. This one gives me a big headache. Currently I'm reading the tuts from cdchecks.cjb.net.

Nice to get your help

Hello Solomon !

What SafeDisc version is it?
Do you want to crack it yourself or just get a copy not needing the CD?
Do the 3 CDs work to run the game?

I use daemon-tools to open the BIN/CUE then install it. After installation the main prog is a single 8MB exe. The bytes exactly following the magic string "BoG_ *90.0&!! Yy>" are:
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 1E 00 00 00 21 00 00 00. According to ArthaXerX¨¨s, this is the version number(h**p://w*w.yates2k.co.uk/cd/artha_safedisc.html).

Someone else has burned it to CD and it runs well.

I just want a good copy(cracking requests? ) coz it will cost me a lot of time to crack it by myself. I will try burning it into CD first.

BTW: this is really a great game. I will buy it later

Hello Solomon !

This could have happened to anybody !
But remember, if there is an update for Commandos II, it'll only run with a working CD, since it's protected again by SafeDisc.
So best is to burn a working copy AND crack it to run without CD yourself, so you don't have to wait some days until someone has released a crack.
