, so should i wait till i get an update or use an other debugger, but im new in this scene(

) . I think there is no way to learn how to crack a program without softice, cause i didnt find any other working tutorials. Help is welcome!

Try using Ollydbg. Its a good one. It does not debug upto the kernel level, but it manages to move around, and then some.
Search "ollydbg" on google, and go to the home site of this debugger.

thx 1st, but i think im installin win98 again, because the wish to become a cracker is greater than the wish to launch a program 3 seconds faster, but thx anyway

Hello zed !
You can try TRW2000. It's a little strange to handle (it doesn't accept the 'enter' key on the numeric keyboard). Sometimes it's break-on-condition-breakpoints work not as they should. I haven't played much around with it.
Turbo Debugger is a good choice. I use it myself for most work.

Hello f0dder !
To be honest, I've no idea! It should be possible somehow with TD32INST.EXE, but I've never looked at it.
I've never needed to be able to break a running process. The only thing I know and use is "Attach" to a running process. Of course the you can't do some things like reload or similar then.
