View Full Version : TRW2k (Win95/98 v1.23) problem

First off, I've dl'ed a couple of previous demo versions over the last 6-8 months or so and both crashed win98se hard. This was just from working on my own apps, so there's no possibility that it was some anti-debugging tricks. A couple of weeks ago I dl'ed this regged version and was pleasantly surprised. It seems great for situations that don't require rebooting for sice.
Over the past week or so my keyboard gets somehow disabled after I exit trw2k. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
If I can solve this problem I'll more than likely buy a copy because I'd like to encourage new versions, etc.
Just a note, but I tried visiting the trw2000.yeah.net site but everything's in chinese and I can barely read english

let alone chinese. Does anyone know of an english mirror?

trw2000 is flexable, but may crash in some computor, i thought it's not compatible with ur graphi-card.

woohooo @ the english page
Thanks for the link. There's a bug reporting form to fill out and mail. I'll run some more tests and give that a whirl.
As far as the graphics card compatibility thing..... The only ill-effect that I'm getting is my keyboard gets locked up (quite frequently now that I've been using trw more often). I'm having no problems at all with the display.
From what I've gathered so far, the kb lockup happens after I set breakpoints of any kind, and after clearing and resetting and clearing the breakpoints several times the keyboard sometimes gets restored. It's annoying as all hell to set a "bpx getwindowtext" only to not be able to type anything in the box afterwards! Then I figure if I'm going to reboot I might as well boot up with sice eh?

yes, sometime TRW make me crazy *_*. in my office, it lockup one computor when started, while in others not. and i dont know the reason.
One hint: if it crashed in higher version like 1.23, then u should try the lower version.
there is a patched-trw 1.22, chinese interface, but more stable, give me ur email~~~~

I'm using TRW2k 1.23 on winME and got the same kb lock problem, evertime I have to press ctrl+alt+del to call up the 'close application' combo box and press 'cancel', the kb will then resume normal. I simply don't know why.

.....oh my fPc! A chinese version? I hadn't thought about trying an earlier version, mainly because of the problems that I had trying to use the earlier demos. By chinese interface, do you mean the trw loader or the actual debugger iface? Would I have to install chinese text support or whatever that's called?
Bauhaus68:
The weird thing about the kb lock is that the ctrl+n/m combos still work and you can still type bpx's in trw. That's strange eh?

My keyboard sometimes quits working after returning from TRW to Win98. Usually when I press the CTRL key it starts working again.

hi, luvtocrack, do u mean that there's a time when ctrl key didn't solve the bug, with word 'usually' ?
