some1 must know..or is this a silly question??? the question was...are offsets in exdec the same as softice/w32dasm ??

I'll say that when you say offset, it is really an offset with respect to some starting position. If code base is 40000000, and code offset is 1234, then, it should mean 40001234. In W32DASM, you can use offset it shows to look for place to patch the exe file. Hope this help.

They are relevant in both, but if it's a pcoded VB app (y else would u use ExDec hehe) W32Dasm is pretty much worthless.....if you try to break on the addy in Sice & it doesn't seem to want to break, try a BPM instead of BPX
