Happy Holidays to everyone on this board, even the people that just read and don't participate

This year has been a good one, we saw great improvements in the software protection industry and we also saw great improvements in the reverse engineering field thanks to all of you.

Expect the new year to bring us new and exciting projects, so don't drink too much this New Years as to save some brain cells.
Just kidding

So what do people want to do in the new year?

I for one would like to study some more crypto related protections and perhaps delve into some of the latest anti-copying protections used on music CDs.

Happy Holidays and keep up the great work,

goatass

Seasons greetings,

I just want to say that everyone who comes to this place,
Thank you all for just stopping by. I never would have thought that this place would help so many people. For me thats all I ever wanted, pass on the knowledge, make sure you can find it and get it for free. The only reason I do this is to make sure it stays free. As long as you keep visiting then I will know it is worth the effort.
Thanks to you all

Peace, Woodmann

Hippy new yer, A.S.!
I want say "THANKS" to you for your two interesting packers(ASPACK&ASPROTECT),
because they are good targets for learn "UNPACKING".
(Yet I can't understand why second packer produces bigger files..)
Now at Cracks.Am is aviable my crack for DigiSecret v1.1.278
This is my newyear-gift for you.
So in last words I want say:
in new year
WE will continue enjoy with unpacking
YOU will continue work and make money

Happy new year to all.

Alexey, I have also to congratulate you for all the tricks you teached me indirectly with your nice and fast evoluating versions of aspr.

I decided for this year to put a delay on 1 month between the day I manage to include new evolutions in rv against your nice tool, just to let your customers have the time to sell the new versions of your product, and also because you are a pretty positive person, never attacking anyone here; and especially because you understood like a lot of wise people here that learning is the final goal of all this place.

It seems that I finally manage to add more emulation for your new aspr 1.4 trick as splaj discovered, but now we'll be working on your new anti tracing trick (ao2000pr 1.11 protection).

pretty nice work

best regards,

tsehp

hi artha,
I have other reasons :
1-It's better to release something stable and tested (you know where).

2-delaying the release could also harden the work of a protector that is unfortunatly forced to release its protection as fast as possible, in one month the protections gets to more customers but when the countermeasure is released, it will also attack more targets already updated with the protection's new version. But this is not my primary goal.

I think it's time here to show some respect to such guys, oriented on the protective side, just because the wall between us is pretty thin.
