Greetings,
I have a small problem. I have installed Driverstudio 2.6. I have modified the winice.dat so exp= points to where it is supposed to do. I have in the settings menu of the softice loader hooked the little box saying the program shall break at program start (winmain...). But still the program starts without the loader stopping the execution at the beginning of the code. I have never had any difficulties before, but I have then run on WinME and Win98. I have not until now used Win2ooo or WinXP. (I'm running XP now). I can't find any refererences to this problem in the guides either. So if someone have some good ideas, I'll be grateful.
TIA and regards from
hobgoblin

Can you give some examples of the many tools that do this I wasnt aware. Also if you want to break at the begining and worst comes to worst you could just edit the file manually and put an int3 at the entry point and change that byte back after it breaks. That would seem to work.

Thanks for the input.
But this isn't something that happens only to one specific program. It happens no matter what program I try to run via the loader.
Have somebody else encountered the same problem?

Hi Hobgoblin,

I installed 2.6 on my system and haven't encountered anything like that. I have a new P4, but everything works ok for me.

Did you install Softice only or did you install the whole package?
