I'd like to get finally a s/n for this useful util.. always get only hard crack while there's registration dlg ready...

also it's VB 5 or 6 proggy, after I unpack. Just have only bad experience tracing in common asm debugger. What's the workaround to debug with VB? -- I've heard something 'bout SmartCheck, can I use it 4 this purpose?

btw. loading into SC2.5RC1 invokes crash, could I found SC5 somewhere?

depending on the app it might work if its not a pcode app your trying to crack

go and grab sc6.03 somewhere and use following options:

Start Smartcheck and open the app to debug.

make sure that you had choosen the following settings:

error detection: all checked
\-> "Advanced" all checked, except the last three
reproting: all checked, except "perform analysis of handeld vb ..."

run the program and confirm all error messages till app pop up!

start debugging!

for more information select "show all events".
expand the branches by clicking on the +.

for pcode appz use WKTVBDE or exDEC!

i have a different setting in smartcheck:

error detection: only the last one checked

this way you don't need to acknowledge hundreds of error messages, and smartcheck shows everything just fine.

There is a patch for W32Dasm which shows the string references for VB apps(released by DREAD). Use that, disassemble find a suitable place to break and trace from there.. That's how I do it. Tracing within msvbvm*.dll might not be that fun(unless you are planning to write a decompiler...I'm talking about the practicality that is..)

Grrrr... Is it just me? Let's see _Servil_, there was a warez request two days ago on TOT by you that got locked and today it's a s/n request. Am I missing the joke or am I just being too hypersensitive or is this as lame as it seems to be?
