Does anyone know about the changes made from the widely spread W32Dasm 8.93 to v8.94?

I think it is a fake.
I found only 2 wanna-be-software-download-sites talking about 8.94
As I know is 8.93 the last version.

My win32Dasm 8.93 is dated: 26-July-1998 ! And I am working with it a little longer

It is copyrighted 1998...
Do you really think after over 4-5 years URSoftware (if they still exist) will make a version-jump from 8.93 to 8.94 ?

Maybe somebody made a typo, or calls 8.93 with all the VB-patches "8.94"
Look at the homepage of them:
h**p://members.cox.net/w32dasm/
since years the same... nothing new, latest they talk about is 8.80
I donīt even know if URSoftware is still existing

So use 8.93 with the patches or change better to IDA

Well, Zero if you had a look the site claims there is a 8.94 but as you say it has been a fair while with 8.93. So as you suggested it probably is just a VB patched 8.93. And also on the page, it says that it hasn't been tested with Me and 2K so I would guess that URSoftware is on a long break.

I think it is strange, that some have HEARD about 8.94 (as you can see at w32dasm-page), but there is really nobody HAVING this version. (Strange for a community like us)

However:
Maybe 8.94 was a last release, but not published... Who knows.

8.94 was the last official release but 8.93 is the one that ended up everywhere noone got their hands on 8.94. Now there are lots of fake copies too saying they are 8.94 or 9.00 but they are just patched 8.93s. Here is URSoftware's current web page:

Yes Snatch,
I agree, that there are many faked copied out there.
The site you mentioned is the same I did (see above).

This starts to be interesting:
Will finding the "lost" 8.94 be a challenge like the search for the "lost" tuts of +ORC ?

Hehe,
I can imagine what will happens:
Everybody discusses a topic, where nobody will ever have a solution
Wasted time ?

Just to mystify things a bit :
My guess is that URSoftware might have notified legal buyers of immediately discontinueing W32Dasm's development if there will be as many wrz copies again...(but this is really just my hallu).

On the other hand v8.94 is mentioned on several quite official software sites.

P.S. If IDA had a nice Win-GUI, I'd immediately switch, but I simply can't stand those SAA-UIs anymore (perhaps M$ made me a bit lazy)...
