Hi There!!!!

I'd installed Revirgin 1.3.0.0 on a PIII 850/256RAM NT Wks 4.0 Sp6a...

And when I run Revirgin it popup a message box that says:

Revirgin.exe - Entry Point no found

Procedure's Entry Point CreateToolHelp32Snapshot was no found in the Dinamic Link Library KERNEL32.DLL

So, I think I was about' NT WorkStation SP6a imcompatibility with the Revirgin version 1.3 so I'd Downgrade to version 1.1.0.9 witch was working fine.....

But the Same message still poping....

Does anybody knows what's going on????

Does this trouble is relative with the MSI installer???

Thank in Advance!

to scan the processes, I'm forced to use psapi.dll on nt4, I don't want to maintain compatibility with nt4, meant to disappear.

Hiya,

Sorry I'm just going to force Tsehp to clarify this one ;-).

As far as I recall, CreateToolhelp32Snapshot() was part of Toolhelp API (and not part of NT) as Tsehp says, PSAPI is used (should I say can be used) under NT, (was how ProcDump operated anyway).

I'm just curious why that specific error message appears, did you forget to detect the OS version RV users are using Tsehp? ;-) and perhaps a second point, why the abandonment of NT support?, it surely must have been useful at some point, and thus if the code is already there but a bit flaky, I'm of the school of thought to leave it in there with a disclaimer and see if end-users can make some use of it (you are welcome to disagree with me there).

Then again as I'm not privy to RV's internal informations maybe there was a good reason no longer to support NT, so just tell me to shut up if I'm making a worthless point here ;-).
