Anyone reversed how system checks activation code of windows XP? As cds are locked on regions, i am unable to unlock my copy with any code i have found and so i want to make crack for my region (Slovenia). Can anyone help or point me to some nfo?

and the one on page you pointed me on, is not *really* elegant solution. I had more in mind something like keygen!

Afaik, M$ activation codes for XP products are usually not specific to a certain region and a working non-fake keygen for most products has already been coded (WinXP Home/Pro/Corp,Office (all editions),Visio) by a group called TheBlueList.
Although there has obviously no effort been made to generate those all-in-wonder-no-activation-needed keys yet.
If it's only the winxp activation you're trying to defeat, there's a much easier solution: It's WINLOGON.EXE which contains the following byte pattern: 8B D1 57 33 C0 89 02 89 42 08. Turn this to C7 06 01 00 00 00 83 EE 04 C3, correct the PE checksum and you're done.
