Just tried to reverse the software protected with FlexLm 8.0 (as i know 8.0f or 8.0c)....
I sadly found the old tutors regarding FlexLm 7.2f reversing are not usable in my situation... I need any detailed help with comments, samples and tools.... Any help is appreciated.
Thnx in advance,
Alex AKA sm@ll c0rpse

I presume you are referring to finding ways to recover the new ECC seeds used in the latest 7.2x and 8.0/8.1+ versions.
1. The 'connoisseurs of FLEXlm' have decided they will not publish information on these later versions since GlobeTrotter have gained far too much information from just such work in the past, we don't want to make their work too easy now do we ;-). This is also the excuse since they are probably too lazy ;-).
2. Depending a lot on your target, an older v8.0 target might still be exploitable due to the weak random number generator used in the aforementioned versions, this exploit is how some licenses have shown up in the scene fairly recently, read some of the threads on the crypto msgboard if you can't immediately think where you'll be going to look next.
3. I'll probably get flamed for revealing this flaw, but the v8.1 incarnations have definitely closed it, and now <relaying information somewhat blindly> I've been told the best hope is about 2^96, and testing the keys on x86 processors is very SLOW, so, you can probably forget it for a while ;p.

Doh,
I also forgot to add, that with the SDK's still around on the web, patching FLEXlm remains a blindingly dull and boring affair requiring no discernable skills above basic level.
