ThrawN, all of these protections can be cracked EASYLY! The problem is most people are not thinking. First start with a CD/Stereo setup. Take the output and divert it to your sound card. Hit play on the CD, and record on your sound card playing software. Presto, you have a copy on your hard disk. Yes it is only at 1X speed but compromises need to be made in life.

Now I know most of you will say, it isn't a perfect copy. Guess what it doesn't matter! MP3 compression algo spreads the noise uniformly across the spectrum so it doesn't matter to 99% of the human population. Those who have a perfect ear will just have to live with it.

Now the question, is there any software out there that will automatically detect the dead space inbetween songs and start a new file there?

Hi MTB,

I think Feurio might be able to do something like that, I cant remmeber exactly but it will fix that for you when you burn mp3 into audio CD again!

wavelab can do this easily: start recording at signal and set markers where silence is

Well there has only been 4 cds released with this new protection im aware of.... all of which have been ripped successfully. I have been told by a certain source from the group (same group did all 4) that they were ripped without much problem but however wavlab was used for something they didnt want to speculate on.

Do you know how much buffer a standard cd player has? its a critical part of the protection but alais never worked quite how was planned....
Also fucken super audio cd market has started some places and brings a new problem to the market... will audio cds finaly be phased out?.. saudio+ requires a totaly new hardware player which in order to defeat the protection would require a modchip (which do exsist - sony themselves have them, which is stupid cause they are basicly saying people can make them and do whatever the fuck they want)......

But with standard audiocd i dont believe there will be a 100% protection method.. but saudio+ i think might be revolutionary.

hi
i couldn't find any cd protected with this protection, but I have been able to copy all cd's with fantom cd till date.

try it with different settings. Check the cd image in emulator before burning.
