It's really to unlock this soft or not? i can't decide...
What's the way to decide this?

& what's the strategy to unlock this soft if it's really?

1. Avoid placing direct links to the target software in your post. You are essentially waving your hand to the software manufacturers to this site.

3. Search in google the words "EasyTrace" and "crack". You will find out that somebody already made it. I AM NOT ADVOCATING that you download a ready made crack, but it will answer your question:

4. Try to fight your way through the software, follow some tutorials on HASP protections and come back when you have a more specific question

bombe, try the following:
1. Read frog's print tutorial on dongles (try fravia's site) yes it is old but still relavent.
2. Try the stuff on crackz's site.
3. I hope you have lot's of patience, this could take you a couple of months. You will need at a minimum W32dasm and a hex editor for tools. I prefer IDA but it isn't easy to use. Softice is powerfull but user hostile. Read ALL the tutorials you can find on Hasps. Emphasis on ALL the tutorials. Most reversers here will not help you until you can show that you are trying and you are making progress, else forget it.

CrackZ will not have a protector remover. His site will illustrate the general techniques in analyzing this sort of protection. It is up to you to understand them and apply the knowledge to your specifc target, or even better, to find out that your target protection departs from what other people have found in other HASP protected programs (It should !!!)

Again, if what you need is a quick crack for the software, it is easy enough to find it.Try google, or Astalavista.
Contrary to other people in this forum, I do not think it is a mortal sin to use ready made cracks, I just think it ruins the fun of reverse engineering.
Sort of, when you go out fishing, instead of waving then rod yourself and having fun catching fishies, you go to a supermarket and buy them already gutted, and frozen. . .

how i can explain the protection method of this program?
it's encrypt on the fly.
you need see that, it so hard to explain.

Ignore me if i am wrong, but if the encryption/decryption is done at run-time, you can try to dump those codes from memory and disassemble them with IDA or something, that would make analysing lots easier...

this prog decrypt and put ouptut code and string into environment.
i can't BPM this case - becouse i don't know...

The thing is that you cant explain your problem, cos i think not many ppl will be willing to download a new program for nothing...

So yeah, your best bet is try to explain your problem and then ppl will try to help... yeah a RE your problem in English sometimes not easy... but do try cos that is the only way i fear...

If you are not familiar with HASP, browse and read crackZ's site... i have been reading.. I have 2 impression about cracking dongle.. wonder which one is more accurate... either cracking dongle is simply about getting correct output for each dongle check (which doesnt sound that difficult)... or cracking dongle is difficult that will take you a few weeks for each dongle?

Ah well.. guess i will only know when i actually touch my hands on dongle itself...

This may or may not help you.

I ran into EasyTrace v7.05 (not entirely sure on that version but thats what my notes say) a few years back.

It was as you say a HASP dongle, and called only basic HASP services, 1, 5 & 6, maybe some reads too, either way there was nothing complex about it and I returned appropriate values, the real problem was that I just couldn't get the version I had to do anything meaningful, all the restrictions were still in place regardless of passing/failing the HASP checks, certainly none of them appeared to end up to relate too the restrictions.

I didn't invest much time on it, I'll look a bit later tonight or tomorrow, I think I still have it here, but note, I remember the author was Russian, so it might be either very clever or very crippled or none of the above.
