i wanna start a miniproject for Newbies(like me).


My Idea:

We take for Example 10 Level 1 Crackme from the crackmes webside, but without the solution.
Everyone solve it alone. After one Crackme is solved, everybody post a tut how he made it, and what tools and information source he used. After all from that course solved the crackmes with or without help from the other members we go to Level 2 Crackmes and so on. Everybody from that course can ask everyone from the course to help. So each one learns from the other one.

Pls post here when u are interested.

Pls only people who are realy interested in learning.

I think it's a good idea, i know little about cracking but i want to develop my skills in it
Maybe some of the advanced crackers can come with some good 'start-with-me'-crackme's

later today i will post a few crackmes for download with level 1.
i have now 12 different kinds of crackmes, which should be very easy to solve.

I took the crackmes from Kobras, and crackmes webside from different authors.

I think in level 1 our aim should be to learn how to use the tools.
To write Keygens, and Patching the crackme file.
And of course understand the Algo. of the crackme and how it works. So dont take only a look on how to find the Serial, take a look how the whole crackme.exe is working.

Everybody feel free to post also crackmes with level 1 for download here.

This is a open course, so everybody can join, there is no chief or leader here, and everybody can post his opinion and proposals.

But pls dont use the solutions for the crackmes.

It wont help us learning.
Only experience will bring us knowledge.

After 3 very easy crackmes i think its now time to make it a little bit difficulter, but we will stay still in Level 1.


It would be nice if there would be more tutorials uploaded by the people, and some crackmes.

wow, crackme4 is quit hard to crack i didnt solved it till now.
(but still working on it).



So far i know that its packed wit upx, and the routine for the calculation is from 004298c8 to 00429b06

When u diassemble it with ida the strings are in hex format in the code area.

I used Language 2000 to find out the compression, and the language which its written with. (Delphi)
