hi there......i'm having this trouble with my softice.....
on bootup my softice is crashing...it gives a fault and system reboots....
the command windows shows that module "acpi" is being loaded ...mebbe beause of that this is happening....has anyone encountered such thing before??
any suggestions ??

i'm running windows 98..
i've tried both the versions 4.05 and 3.7 and they both are crashing at the same point during bootup....
i have recently formatted my HD and installed Win98...

ummm acpi controls the interupts in win (among other things) it could have something to do with that... if thats the problem a reinstall of of win98 using win the /IP (ithink it was it's on microsofts site somewhere)is the solution (hehe only way to get rid of acpi on win9x as far as i know) but since this ould be a rather common problem numega probably has a ptch for it... but the again i could be completley wrong and it's something else... check numegas faq or something
