Hey guys,
I have a question on softice. I am currently running it in windowed mode which is what I want. Now, is there a way to make it so that when the screen refreshes, it paints over the softice window? For example, when I get to a call that does some repainting on the game screen, my softice just flickers and the call is done. According to the tut Im reading, its supposed to be painted over.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanx for the help.

I know that I can do that but that will just show me what was drawn under the softice window. I want the actual softice window to be painted over.

Hi

Not sure if this is the problem you meant, but F5 a couple of times in Windows (refresh desktop) gets rid of the scrambled background Softice screen you sometimes see after returning from SI.

naa, i think he ment this:

when u step over a Call SI disapear for like ½ sec
which causes a "flicker"..
well from what i know it hapens under win98 with si 4.05,
ds 2.6 uder win2000/xp doesn't make this flicker.
i guess its video card problem (i got gf20)..try play with settings of si..else use win2000 :-) with ds2.6/7

Hello Flack !

I assume you're looking for the command FLASH [ON | OFF].

According to the SoftICE help it says "FLASH - Restore screen during P and T".

So your screen will be updated every time you do a F8/F10 step. (default key settings)
