It never used to do this, but whenever I try to search for some text and it finds it and I double click on it, it spreads out some of the words like this all the way accross the screen, and doesn't show the text i searched for:

* R E F R E N C E

and

* P O S S I B L E R E F R E N C E

and stuff like that...It never used to do that before...

How do I stop it from doing this

Ok, I recently downloaded W32DSM89 and everything was great! Then I opened it up and dissasembled an exe file, and searched for some string text, and the string text appeared like this:

* P O S S I B L E S T R I N G R E F R E N C E :

and stops like that on the end of the page instead of like this (How it used to be):

* Possible String Refrence: *String here*

And this really bugs me because it's harder to read, and navigate around W32DSM. If this has happened to anyone before, could you please help me to fix this? If you don't know, can you tell me a link where you downloaded it from? Thanks

Hi,
Don't post twice in the forum.
Your problem should be solve by changing the fonts and size.

Click menu Disassembler,Font,select font,change the size of the font,ok.Click menu Disassembler again and Save default font and done.

Sorry about posting twice.

I have tried multiple fonts and sizes, but the letters still seemed to be spaced apart. I tried Arial, with multiple sizes, then Times New Roman, again with multiple sizes, Tahoma, etc... Could it be a problem with the settings?

Aerzan:

Just a wild thought here, but since you didn't say, maybe this is part of the problem. You have said that the program used to work correctly and that you downloaded it again, which means that you reinstalled the one you downloaded, but you didn't say whether you just installed OVER the old version, or uninstalled the old one and installed the new one.

Sometimes programs have DLL's and other parts that are stored in other places or just use DLL's from Windose to run parts of their programs. If you didn't "uninstall" you wouldn't necessarily remove "all" of the old components of W32DSM89. Try "uninstalling" then reboot and then try installing again.

Second possibility is to consider if you installed any "other" programs between when W32DSM89 worked correctly and when it didn't. One or more of any other programs you installed may be interferring with its processing of fonts, since W32DSM89 itself does not create it's own fonts, other that it gives you the option to select a font that comes from Windose and its directories.

One last crazy though. Did you actually click the "Save Default Font" after you selected the "new" font? If you just selected and then closed the dialog box, it doesn't save the change. I'm assuming you already knew that, but didn't see it in your post.

Anyway, it way too early where I am and these are just some thoughts to try before I am fully awake. Good luck.

Regards.

It worked! Thanks! I uninstalled it, rebooted, and then reinstalled it. and btw, yes, I did click on Save Font after I chose a new font every time. Thanks for all your help!
