Hi ,
I installed ds 2.7 on my XP ,
I want to hide it .
I tried nticedump for ds2.7 , I got BSOD .
Is there anyway better than patching ntice myself ?

Hello SilSaLaMaTa !
Maybe you read this (http://www.woodmann.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=3496) thread. I know it's only patching SoftICE itself, but there is no other way at the moment.
Download the patch, compare a unpatched and a patched version 2.6 of NTICE.SYS and apply the changes to NTICE.SYS from 2.7.
(ICEDump 6.0.2.6 gives even a BSOD on Win98.

Well I think you better redownload IceDump...apparently there was a typo in it causing all these crashes and The Owl who does not have ntice on his machine any more did fix the problem. Too bad it is the final release of this great tool.

Hello Snatch !
Thank you for the information. I verified the error and there was a "Push ECX" where a "Pop ECX" should be.
But only the ICEDump (W9x) part was affected, NTICEDump is unchanged.
But in the corrected 6.0.2.6 version I get still a BSOD on Win98 with SoftICE 4.05.334 when trying to load any program.

Ah OK so there is still another minor bug. Actually I read about this on the other forum The Owl's one and if we tell him where the bug is chances are he will post it again with the fix

.

Hello Snatch !
Thank you again, but it still crashes for me.
I can live with 6.0.2.5, as long as I don't get the idea to use SoftICE 4.27.
You're playing with avatars, right? I have two different avatars for you within two minutes.

Ah ok. Well I would not worry I think others are trying to work and kink out the bugs so as you said nothing wrong with sticking to 6.025 until everything is working.
I am playing with avatars hehe how did you guess

. I actually saved yours and tried to load it in and of course guess what

dimensions too large. I am a little curious thought because I have had to scale almost all of the avatars I have found.

Well DakienDX this is becoming a bi-daily event now. But according to the IceDump site several more bugs were fixed. The key word several is encouraging

.
