I have problems with PowerStrip 3.28 (search powerstrip in google)
i unpacked it well... but ! when i lauch it, the nag screen does not appeir, and the menu in the tray bar is not showing up (but double-click on it works fine)
i assume 50C8A4 must be called. (not called in my dump, but called in the packed one)
What's wrong ?!?!

It looks like the program uses the built-in registration functions of ASProtect.

ASProtect can be set up to call special functions when executed as trial version.

So it can be that if this function isn't executed any more (ASProtect removed) the program thinks it's registered and doesn't show the nag screen.

And for your information, this is no "Please check why my crack doesn't work" forum, so read the FAQ and learn how to ask questions.

im just asking if someone could help me unpacking this one, cause the menu is not showing up in the systray... (wrong api call ?)

if you've softice loaded..... you've to use icedump to hide it, witout it doesn't start........ even I 'm trying to unpack it..... there's one api I'm not able to rebuild.....that's at RVA 0014E16C

on xp or 98? with what u have dumped? mine works only under win2k........dumped with lordpe and fixed with imprec, since rv reboots
