Hi. This is my first time when I post here, and I hope that I am welcome

Let me introduce myself.
I started reversing programs about 1 year ago when I was fascinated in learning assembly language. And so it went, I gained more and more knowledge while I studied 'ancient' dos applications. Then I moved to the world of windows. The beginning was really hard and I kept somehow going, but too often I was in a lack of knowledge.

And finally, I found this forum..

Well.. Just to introduce myself here
bye

Hahah Woodmann I think he forgot to go to Fravia's searchlores page first. Seriously I think that page is more useful than anything else. Because once you have learned to search(and think) you can find any information on anything. And noone needs to feed or teach you the information though that can help any motivated person can learn on their own like most of us do reading tutorials and learning assembly language. Searching is a key for everything in every day life too. I am still not a master at it but I know enough to get by. And a few years ago I was so weak at it that I made myself look foolish all too often. Even on this board in its early existance. I think its an ability too few have. Maybe I am being a bit extreme though I dont know everyone elses opinion well I know JMI's . With all that being said I still agree with Woodmann what took you so long to find this board. Oh ya and welcome to the board. I know I find it most informative and I am sure we are all happy to have someone who actually is into reversing and not cleverly wording crack requests .

Here you will find nothing but the most talented reversers and their brainstorming sessions (No, not speaking of myself).

Just a friendly advice for a good start. On this board, NEVER EVER ask something which looks like, smells like or sounds like a crack request.

OK?

Reparion:

Welcome and save us and yourself any grief by reading the posting guidelines and the Frequently Asked Questions. You will notice the link at the top of the main page. Also please notice the "Please use the search function before posting" statement. What this means is that you should do two things before actually posting a question.

1. Use the "search" button to attempt to see if someone has asked questions on your subject before. If so review them to see if they answer your question.

2. If you did a search and didn't find anything on your subject, or found something, but it didn't answer your question, or you didn't understand it, give some indication in your posts that you have tried to find the answer yourself without success.

People here will not complain about your efforts if you show that you have tried to help yourself first. We all were "newbies" at some point, and all of us are newbies on some issues, but each of us should make an effort to solve our own problems before enlisting the help of others. We learn more that way.

If you check out the thread right below this one you will find some suggestions on places to start looking for learning materials. If you are already familiar with assembly language programing, you already have a leg up on many who have joined here and it will come in handy when you move on to Unpacking and defeating protection systems.

Regards.
