I am at the momment working on defeating a dongle (using tools to enable me to build a hardware solution) as my purely hardware approach, a micropressor based add-on board that seached for data from the PC; memorized the response from the dongle then replicated it was not up to the task, but having seen how my hardware design approach is not suitable in all cases I now want to branch out into software cracking.
From my job I know Intel assembler and HEX (For RISC processors) like the back of my hand, I've dabbled in VB and C++ but I doubt if I could "hello world" anymore though, I have a good understanding of how programs and processes interact but not at the code level.
And that is it, with this pitiful ammount of knowledge how and where do I start?
