Hello everyone !!!!!!
Well, everyone is busy with unpacking Azpr but I hope you'll
find some time to deal with this proggie :
http://absolutist.com/ssaver/ascii_art/asciiart.exe
It needs a Reg code but find the reg routine is not trivial at
all ( well for me it is a problem ) .
When I saw this proggie I thought BULLSHIT , 2 MINUTES WORK
but .....I guess you know the continue
Thank you all !

Could you tell us what you have done so far on this?
And how exactly (or where exactly) are you getting stuck in your apprach steps?

Well , the proggie is registered by a file setup.exe but after you
put the registration info the proggie does not break even if
BPX HMEMCPY is set , if U play with window messages you may lost in the code !
I patched the proggie so it can show all the pictures available in the directory BUT there is still the begginnig NAG which tells you
to register !
(((I have three quarters from the proggie -> cracked)))
after looking at the main proggie's code I think that the NAG is shown even if we register , BUT I am sure I am wrong so I gave the ball 2 U !
Hope you'll find something !
Thank you !

What OS are you using? Just in case, you do know that hmemcpy bpx will not work under XP ?
Also, what is the program written in, VB, Delphi, C, Asm ?

First I must say that the NAG which I mentioned in my second
reply is appears in the registered version too !
( the programmers say so in their FAQ )
So I cracked the proggie !
But I am still trying to fish a serial !
Howie :
I tried that but still get lost in the code , the has a lot of shit in
it !!
squidge :
I am using WIN98 , the program is written in C -> PEid says so !
and is packed with UPX -> not a problem to us !

hi all!
just playing with some files, the registered nag screen? its into *.clp files (intro.clp)
lookin into sclps directory i found various clp files..
i was think .... lets play with them
copy any *.clp file to main directory (sbck.clp changing its name to intro.clp) and.... voila!!
this app has been registered to.... etc etc etc
NOte: playing with others clp maybe could hang up your systems :P
i think this prog no need crack, i think its full version, just the first nag screen telling you must register... but... where put the registration info (i mean name, company, serial??) in the register???
hope you understand my poor english

karlitoz :
to put the registration info u need to run setup.exe which can
be found in the proggie's directory !
this proggie has one limitation : it shows only 5 pictures and not
all the pictures (*.asc) which are found in the proggie's directory.
Again , I patched it successfully I am just trying to fish the serial.
The answer is windows messages but I am lost in the code !
So try your luck !

The CLP files are just bitmaps, they have nothing to do with registering the program. Overwriting them will only overwrite the nag screen (intro.clp) with another bitmap.

Well guys -> work is finished !
I found the place where the proggie compares our serial
in fact it does not compare the serial to something but
compares our NAME to something . That thing is our serial
mixed with our E-MAIL by a VERY LONG algorithm !
I must say that for a 10 $ proggie this one protected very well !
Thank you all !

Did you notice any seeds in the algorithm? Just as I'm thinking along the lines of one decent algorithm for all there programs, but with different seeds, rather than a weak, but completely different algorithm for each program.
