hey i cannot run softice in windows 2k srevice pack 1 because it doesnt pop-up. I've been told that using Windows Service Pack 1 Newtwork version solves this. Where do i find it?

I suggest you take those ultra-cool blackout shades off and take a look at http://www.microsoft.com they have a nice section on Windows 2000, with lots of goodies to DL including
the 'monster' ~80meg SP1
