sry for this very newbish question but i am new so whatever hehe

what is the diffrence between f11 and f12 in sice? as far as i understand f11 breaks at the position of the nxt intruction after a function call (using the info stored at @ss:esp) while f12 simply watches out for the next "ret" to break one intruction after it. so it looks to me like 2 diffrent ways to achieve the same. but numega aint stupid so they wouldnt have defined 2 hotkeys for the same thing if there werent an important diffrence....would be thankful for an explanation

Hmm... dunno...

But I have few observations...

..sometimes a push adress ret is used to jump, then f12 will not get you to the adress after the call. f11 will...

..what if execution is redirected elsewhere in a call, then f11 would fail you as the code don't return to the adress after the call and run the prog 'til next bp.

Probably many more things might be mentioned by others?
