I'm using a program that loads up BEFORE the win98 login.

Here is the problem.
I dont know what file that detects softice.

It crashes when sice is active, and only shows a dialogbox with the error with the program name: "PROTECT"
BUT there is a lot of protect files in this program

protect.exe
protect.vxd
Protect.sld
and maybe other protect.something hidden in windows directory or whatever.

The question is...
How can i identify witch file is the problem?

This "Protect.sld" is an executable file, and its packed, i think that this calls the VXD.
I tryed to unpacked it, but i was not successfull with import table.

I want to identify witch file detects softice.
Protect.exe i unpacked it, so it cannot detect sice.

Thx

Hi, tazmanian

Try to load SI at boot !
You can mask SI, there is some SI anti-detect tricks on this board, use the search button !
