can somebody tell me, if softice runs under Windows XP? I can only find versions vor win95,98 and NT.

It is obvious that you did not looking around here before asking a question that has been addressed many many times here before. That also means that you didn't bother to read the FAQ, which are the Frequently Asked Questions. What you need to do is use the search button on the top of each Forum here and enter into the search box on the left the words "WinXP + Softice." You will then discovery the many threads discussing issues relating to WinXP and Softice.

The short answer to your question is that only Driver Studio 2.7 or Driver Suite 2.7 with Softice 4.2.7 seems to work fairly well with WinXP. There are, however, several issues including video cards and other things that give problems. Research these issues in the threads you find in the search and then come back with specific question, but DO NOT ask where you might get the software. That is not permitted here. Again, searching will lead you to what you need and is a necessary skill for RCE.
