when i hit ctrl-d si pops up but then i lose control of my mouse & none of the command keys work any longer. i cannot exit back to windows, i'm locked into the si window w/reboot being my only known option out. i've tried every thing i could find in the tutorial dept. and nothing has worked so far. i'm a newbie but i know there has to be a way to resolve this. any help would be greatly appreciated

This is a problem with all versions of SI it seems. You have to be really careful not to move your mouse just as you enter SI, either via a break or Ctrl-D.

You probably see that little copy/paste window pop up. Usually if you deliberately click your mouse several times and hit Ctrl-M it *sometimes* restores itself. I also find hitting enter or Ctrl-C, to try to force focus back to the command window helps as well.

Try keeping your hand off the mouse and see if that helps.
