Hi,
I've got a file which is packed with AsProtect 1.2x [New Strain] ,with what progg can I unpack it? I tried it with caspr but this always said: failed!! fuile not packed with .... .
Can someone help?

*ahem* use the search button on the top of the forum and search "asprotect" and "unpacking", and you will find it what you need. Doing a little work will only help you grow in your own knowledge, which is never a bad thing.

You can use Sourcer 7.0 which i am not bit sure can unpack it
but The Best one can do The "TRON".

@nikolatesla20: I never did manual unpacking and I'm a total newb in cracking and don't have any idea to break this packer without a program,which does this.

Then I'd say now is a good time to start reading...

ByteL0rd : then may I suggest you download UPX, compress a small file, and unpack it with something like Ollydbg ? This is one of the easiest packers to unpack. Once you are done with that, gradually move on to the more complex packers, such as ASProtect (Funky rebasing code), Armadillo (Nanomite fun), etc.

ByteL0rd, maybe you have not noticed it yet but in the mini project area there is a little thread designed for those who have not unpacked a single file in their life. It could be a way to learn from basic target.
