i dont think hmemcpy is available on win2k/xp/nt, so its a pretty lame method to use, using the general ones like bpx getwindowtexta, bpx lstrlen, etc etc all the ones that could be used for strings etc is a far better approach i think

You have not read my "guide" thorough. Its about searching strings,I put point.h in my guide cuz searching strings is needed.Point.h is not hmemcpy, its an option that you can use in Ollydbg.

You are not an Olly user so it's not informative to you

POINT H is a good form to enter in programs quickly in OLLYDBG and is very similar to HMEMCPY for this reason the name, stops in 90 per cent of cases, and is quickly and fast, if you have your POINT H of your machine, only typing
BP {VALUE OF POINT H}
you stops in the point of entering the dates in memory and you can with a BPM follow the operations of the program.
In many programs stops if you put before type the fake serial, in the moment you press a letter and stop when is entered too, is a good help, and is very quick.

I don't understand your jokes i speak spanish and not english only try to write a little very bad.I think you make jokes with words, but i not understand well english to laugh jeje, now in spanish i make very good jokes.
If you make my tut for point H in my FTP is in english (not translated for me jeje) for download
ftp://curso:curso@ricnar456.no-ip.org/
user:curso
pass:curso
carpeta NUEVO CURSO-TEORIAS
But all my tuts are en spanish (only 3 or 4 are translated)
and are for OLLYDBG (all 124 tuts) and you use softice maybe you are not interested, well i send the FTP equal for anybody.

Right about... everywhere?
Eval, as mentioned earlier, sarcastic jokes are often inflammatory enough in the first place, often highly dependent on exact wording and such. If they are written in eval-encrypted English it is practically guaranteed that 90% of the people reading them will misunderstand them in at least one way, believe me.

So please, for the sake of the board atmosphere, drop the irony/sarcasm (possibly except for when it is directed to members who know you really well), no matter your original intentions, ok?

Hi everyone
Let's all stop taking the p**s and get down to what this board is all about
reversing
Eval and esther take note of what dELTA says or you may end up in big trouble!

Thanks for the support hobferret (esther was actually agreeing with me though).
But you are otherwise correct, it is non-reversing related discussions like this that can be very easily avoided if everyone just respects each other (and takes it easy with any sarcastic "jokes" that can be easily misunderstood), that's all I ask. Let's stop discussing this now, and get some real work done instead, like e.g. some serious driver reversing (http://www.woodmann.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4986) to make sure that the protectors aren't having too much fun without us.
