Hi,
first you have post it in the wrong forum this post should be off topic.

When a post violates several of the Forum Rules and containes no information worth saving, they get deleted. When posters feel the need to start flame wars with other members, they get deleted. There have not been that many which fall into these categories.

Regards.

esther I posted in one of the forums that have experienced these phenomena lately. The posts I'm talking of are not old post, they have just been deleted Tola. Those I'm thinking of are recent ... no wars in them ...
Honestly when I come back here and can't find a post I was following I get confused .. I often have to go around several forums thinking that it was somewhere else and in the end I understand ... too bad.

There has been flamewars popping up in quite the number of threads recently, so maybe that was the case in the threads you are talking about too, and you just didn't come back in time to see it?

Anyway, if you remember the details of the contents of any such thread that you think has disappeared without a reason, please tell us and we will look into it.

Anyway, we will start taking measures to stop this trend of flaming from now on, so hopefully this will soon not be a problem anymore in any case.

Yaa:

Only four threads have been deleted since the return of the Message Board. Three of them were all by the same individual and about armadillo, contained no useful information and were simply a bragging effort and flame war. They were appropriately deleted.

The only deleted thread you posted in was by Tortuga and included a link to a specific target and target specific code. Both are violations of the posting rules here. Your only contribution was to state: "What kind of a newbie forum is this if no one helps out newbies? " Yours was the only response and it hardely amounted to a useful discussion of RCE subject matter, and in light of the specific violations it was proper to delet it.

Regards.

JMI, ok for the target specific code in the armadillo thread .. but my post in the answered thread was only meant to somehow launch again the post in the hope that someone would see it ... I don't see valid reasons why it was deleted.

No wondering why these forums are deserted by people and empty of posts ...
