View Full Version : Nice bug in Acrobat Reader 6.0

Most people know that you can protect your PDF file so the user can't copy the text or the images but there is a small bug that is really great that lets you copy whatever you want.

1. Open the PDF in a hexeditor.
2. In the first 10 bytes you something like PDF-1.3 (just an exempel) This is the version of the pdf
3. Change the version into something high (why not 9.9 ?)
4. Save and open the document in Acrobat Reader. It will now say that this document have a version the program not know of. Click OK.

Try the edit --> copy menu ;-)

whatever is was, it seems to be fixed in my version (6.0.0.19.05.2003)
