What is your Operating System?
Which version of Sice are you installing?

VxD based Sice is geared for Win9x and WinME

WinNT, Win2K and win XP use a driver (.sys) based format, and require a specific, NTIce version of Sice.

Device Number 17 and Service 8 Have a unique meaning to your computer, BUT
under this context, this is likely to be related to your Video Card, perhaps your mouse.
Try
- uninstalling and reinstalling Sice and pay attention to the video drive installation, choose 'universal' drive if you did not do it before.

-Try installing Sice without mouse.

-Get Sice Version 4.05 for Win9x, and see if it is more compatible with your computer. Certain video cards just don't fly.
