Hi..I just wondered if there is any place where i can find info about cracking applications written for the .net framework using VS.NET or others.Regular disassemblers do not work.

Well swordie:

Your question points out why the Deity created internet search engines. You have heard of them, haven't you??

Did you, by any chance, pick one and enter "VS.NET + cracking" and press enter? How about "VS.NET + debugger." These are good places to start. The Deity, and those here, tend to help those who have actually tried to help themselves.

On a slow day, the Deity also created IDA Pro, which can disassemble .NET files.

Well that simply means that IDA Pro is not "regular."

cRk:

1.) The FAQ will tell you you should NOT ask for the tools of the trade here. That is a "request" you should inquire about at exetools.

2.) Why not download it directly from M$. My understanding is that it is part of the ".NET Framework SDK Version 1.1" which is free from their site.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9B3A2CA6-3647-4070-9F41-A333C6B9181D&displaylang=en

They also have a multipart downloadable version with a setup exe and 9 cabs. If someone can tell you which cab it is in you wouldn't need to down load the entire thing, which is 106 Mg.

Yes, but jumpgen is not a commercial product, nor 106 Mg and I don't want to become a target for M$ net police by attaching one of their products in a public forum. In a minute I'll post which cab it's in, if I can make that determination without too much time. (I do work for a living, if you can call this living. )

Well I wasn't able to get the cab's to open easily, but I installed the program and it one you seek is definitely in there.

thanks for taking part of your time to look at this. the special reason i asked you is because i'm on slow 56k and as far as i remember i got on my hands a package like 27 MB about this .Net Framework stuff that a program needed and i had to get it to make the program work.. i remember too i couldn't look too much into the code becuase i was missing the right tools for this app. but i never saw any file like disassemblers or tools.. i guess i was missing the big package you mentioned.....
