Hi All,

My record is 323,4... can you beat me?

And how can one tell if the poster is telling the truth??

I've found that you get the optimal results when you bat < 190 (but as close to it as possible)

dELTA

Let's just say you were a bit off with that optimal angle doug...

Delta,

hmmm... seems like you made some fine changes to the picture

For all: do you think its possible to reverse the game and to obtain a very long jump?

See. I told you you couldn't trust the "results." And I had dELTA in mind when I made that conclusion.

Hey, I just saved my screenshot in Photoshop, is that a crime?!? Ok, ok, I'll rephrase the question: Is that a crime (if I would actually own a license of the aforementioned program)?!?

Yep, there was actually a version of this exact game online at the following address a few days ago, where you could hit much harder (of course, they might have had access to the "source" too, but anyway):

http://ogc.ath.cx/files/tmp/pingu.htm

Sadly, it seems to be down right now though...

Mmm...

I got 567.9 at this address...

Howdy,

Put me down for 587.1
I got bored after 10 minutes.

Whoa. You guys is good. There are several major league baseball teams which could use your services. I hear they pay better than the salaries here. With Marko's site I managed 587.6 with about 10 swings, but I couldn't do nearly that well with Zai's.

593,5 - and I don't even have a fake screenshot to prove it, so you just have to believe me. No, but really.

Sometimes penguins just get enough...

JMI
January 28th, 2004, 14:20
Whoa, there's a violation. Don't you know that the Yeti are on the endangered species list, world wide?? That penguin is in BIG trouble. And the phrase would be: "Sometimes the penguins just get even" or "Sometimes the penguins have just had enough."

I wouldn't pick on that penguin's grammar if I was you...

Anyway, since the penguin has ended all the fun in the other game, here's a new way to help us measure who's the alpha male among us:

http://www.beust.com/dodge.html

My record on the few times I tried it was 35,387 seconds...

JMI
January 28th, 2004, 15:02
And I wouldn't pick on the penguin's grammer if I were you.

And I would try to spell "grammar" correctly at least once when criticizing it in someone's post.

At least, the penguin and I can blame the fact that we're not native English speakers (not to mention that we both have to type really fast to prevent our fingers/wings/claws to fall off from frost-bite, where we come from).

If you want to cheat at this game.

Just download Tsearch and search for value type: float.

Almost all flash games use doubles for values, but this uses floats.

Yes, I'm lame.

Fortunately, I've NEVER claimed that I could SPELL and, therefore, have NEVER been sensitive about spellings errors and accept corrections when they are reported. And I did "try" to spelled "grammar" correctly only once, because I used it only once. Had I used it more than once, I would have "tried" to spell it correctly each time, and probably would have failed each time. That's the curse of not being able to spell. It generally happens every time.

However, under circumstances you well understand, I do, occasionally, attempt to assist you with your idomatic use of this polyglot language we call American English and also freely concede that your English is way, way better than my Swedish, which is limited to a few words, without proper accent marks.

Oh, and in that spirit, it should be "to prevent our fingers/wings/claws from falling off from frost-bite" And, fortunately, I don't have 35,387 seconds to devote to you new offering. Were those metric seconds?? That's nearly 10 hours in American English. Silly Svensk.

Lame ? No way, that is "thinking" like a reverser

As for grammer/grammar, it depends on where you live and dialects.

dELTA

Sure eval, you may proceed unloading that flash app from your memory. In the meantime, I'm uploading a personal version of it here (I got tired of manipulating my record screenshots in Photoshop, so I patched it to get longer results directly ). Enjoy! (click the attachment to play it directly)

I liked the one where the penguin won better. But 913.6 on the first hit is more ego satisfying that the first hit on the original.
