Here is a warning.
Did you know that due to the popular choice of using SoftIce to crack software instead of debugging system drivers as originally intended, the US Gov't and MS were lobbyed heavily by The Shareware Writers Guild and others to react to this uncivilised conduct. So along with the 'owners' of SI, Numega, they all made a decision to 'embed' a subliminal message in that soothing black screen.... so the longer you used SI, the more 'programmed' you became.............
The big question, *WHAT* is that hidden message ?
Before I answer that Q, think a little.
1) Did you ever wonder why such an expensive software is ALWAYS available on the WWW !
2) Why the updates to SI driver only happen when there is an improvement in screen technology / VGA cards and faster screen updates (like 100mhz) are used by the cracker
3) Why there are loads of *functioning* sites giving free tutorials on the use of SI to crack !
Ok, are you ready ?
The answer is to program the cracker into delusions of grandeur
and leetness. He is told to give up using SI and start programming instead. He also should 'dis' every user of Win32 and SI and should choose *nix to replace Win32 on his PC's
and waste several years back in 'command-line' mode and preach the ways of the 'penguin' to every god damn passer-by !
