file://c:\WinNT\NotePad.exe is a good tool for INF generation, although I personally prefer TextPad from Helios.

The Win32 SDK is contains all the documentation you'll need to use these tools for INF generation for Installs, and the Win32 DDK documentation for writing INF files for drivers.

Although it is usually a hidden directory, examples (which you can load using the INF tool NotePad) are probably already located in your c:\WinNT\INF directory. They can also be found on a supprising number of installation disks.

Due to the success and ease of use of file://c:\WinNT\NotePad.exe and coupled with its low price and wide availability, few commercial vendors have ventured to compete with it for INF generation and maintenance.

In addition to INF files, both NotePad and TextPad have the ability to edit BAT files, INI files, C files, H files, ASM files, and even TXT files.

If you are REALLY careful with your ALT-### sequences, you can even edit EXE files, but this is not for the faint of heart.

When i downloaded files from sharing programs, usually there are NFO files in,
I open them with 'DAMN NFO Viewer' And some of NFOs are look like drawing.

How can i make files with drawing?...

If you look at a few of the NFO files, you will come to notice that they are not actually "drawings" in any traditional sense. They are, usually, simply "patterns" created using various letters and symbols generated by your keyboard. They are simply chosen to give whatever look the "artist" wants and then spaced to create the visual effect that they want.

Take a blank page in any text editor, think of a design that you want to create and then start using "letters" and/or "symbols" from your keyboard for the "pen" with which you "draw" your design. That's all there is to it. The rest is the creative process of thinking of a design and the "keys" to use as your "pen."

One of the biggest "ASCII painters" back in the day was called "The Draw", try searching for it. And for your own sake, try to keep apart INF files from NFO files...
