Hi,

I'm having a problem unpacking a file. First of all I'm newbie in unpacking and with Armadillo I don't think I'll be able to get an exe easy to patch.

The real problem is that PEiD 0.9 says "Armadillo 2.5x - 2.6x -> Silicon Realms Toolworks" and with the latest version, the 0.92 it's "Armadillo 1.xx - 2.xx -> Silicon Realms Toolworks [Overlay]".

Who can take contact with me to unpack the file? I'll patch it on my own, I just need an unpacked file to get my work going.

The link isn't at all broken. It points to the "RCE-CD". You should download this.

What Woodman is trying to say to you is... Use the resources available to you. These are (among other things of course) - Google. As you already must know since you've used it to find out what Geico is. That and of course the RCE-CD.

You might also want to use the search option.

I don't really need to download this 10Megs archive because I'm looking for a tut on how to unpack that shit.

I'm looking for anybody who knows how to unpack Armadillo because it's way to difficult to learn that when you're newbie. So if anybody has some time to spend with me, I'd be glad.

I'm glad that you found it. And you should download the entire CD, but of course you can always pick just one collection, say Krobar's.

You say that you are looking for a tute on how to unpack armadillo.. that is ironic surely, considering the fact that the RCE-CD contains nothing BUT tutorials, guides and manuals. You will find many armadillo tutorials on that CD.

That is why I suggest that you download it.



It is difficult to unpack armadillo, especially when you are a newbie. It is perhaps better to reconsider then & start from the beginning isntead. You can't expect to jump right into RE by taking on armadillo or any other similar software protection.

But do you know if there are some guys here on the forum able to help me unpack a file? Even if I can get a goot tut or whatever on Armadillo, I don't think I'll be able to do the same on my own on my file that's why I need someone as support.

Don't post a crack request. If you want help, post your findings first, then you will get some help.

Still, I think the odds are against you. You are new to all of this, but good luck in any case

Even though you find tutorials that deal with armadillo and who are target specific, they still follow (usually) the same steps.

Post your findings and explain what you have done, then post your questions.
