WARNING.....venting follows:

This MB is the pits. I have to re-login EVERY time I change a page, and even to view different message threads within the same forum. It has taken 3 attempts to request a new password, just to get in so I can reset it back to my old password. And when I DO get in, there is a 50/50 chance that I may (or may not) be allowed to post. I am not happy here!

Spencer: I have not yet received anything from you. If you did in fact send it, it probably got dumped via junkmail. Please try again, with a subject line that is likely not to look to hotmail like junk. Better yet, tell me here in this MB the subject line you will use, and I will look for it.

I have not yet had time to look up the "Chinese" program we had discussed; I have spent most of my time trying to get back into this MB. Now that I'm here, I wanted to get this message posted before something else went wrong.
But I will get on it tomorrow.

Sarge:

The Board seems to be running fine so it may be a cookie problem. You did not mention whether you had deleted your cookie and attempted to sign in again and get a new one. The cookie is used for the view between pages. At the moment that is all I can thing of, since it is working perfectly for me all day.

Make sure to always use the domain "www.woodmann.net", that might solve your cookie problems. It might also be the security settings in your browser that cause these problems, and in this case too it might have to do with the "multiple domains" used by this board. Make sure to set your browser settings to accept all kinds of cookies for both the domains "www.woodmann.net" and "www.woodmann.com", including third-party cookies and all other cookie types. That should do it.

There goes that dELTA again, trying to get all the cookies he can.

Wow! Thanks to all for their ideas. Yep, I have my browser set to "accept no cookies" (or whatever the equivalent is). I'll have to loosen up my security a bit, I guess.

I prefer this MB over my second choice by quite a bit, due to it being somewhat more open to controversial discussions. (VB PCode reversing is controversial?) Hope the cookie thing works.

Get back to you'all in a bit.

Thanks again.

Howdy,

I have my "cookies" set to discard on exit.
The "remember me" box wont work with that setting.

For some strange reason I have received a few emails these
past few days from people having problems logging in.

Opera will cause you to have problems. When ever something
goes wrong on this message board I can always find the
solution by looking at my settings for the browser.

For people who have registered and have not received an email,
it is because your mail server will not accept email from this server or,
your mail box is full or, you typed something wrong and your email address comes back as "unknown user".
I get emails bounced back about 6 times a day for those reasons.
