hello everyone, perhpas you dont see much of people like me, but i have trouble getting softice to work.

i am using windows xp with all the newest updates

i already have the softice patch for windows xp and softice is loading at startup.

the problem i currently face is that any command i type in, it says that it doesnt have the symbols, what should i do?

click on the FAQ link above.. and do it quick before you get banned!!! next time learn the house rule before posting...

Hi, now that you've read the faq and logged off probably scratching your head and none the wiser... The "house rules" are simple. Begin with a search on this board using the Search function with some logical keywords to try to find the solution to your problem. "Symbol not defined", which is the error message you got, is a good start. Reading the Softice manual and learning about loading "symbols" is another good one.

This is simply a gentle lesson in the first step to the wild and wonderful world of RCE, learning to search for answers, your greatest asset. You *should* be able to figure this one out if you persevere. If not, don't be afraid to ask since this is the newbie forum after all.
